Alyssa Peters

Alyssa has been dancing since she was three years old and has trained at our studio in many styles of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, and contemporary. Alyssa was on a competitive dance team for ten years, winning many first place overall titles and being named LA Dance Magic’s “Magic Performer” in 2010. In 2007 Alyssa was honored to be awarded the Pat Jackson Memorial Dance Scholarship. She is currently a resident choreographer for Moorpark Civic Ballet and a member of the Moorpark Civic Ballet. She has danced many roles including Clara, the Snow Queen, and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. Alyssa has danced the role of the bird in Peter and the Wolf. Alyssa has performed in the Hollywood Christmas Parade as a backup dancer for singers American Idol Stefano Langone and recording artist Ashlee Keating. Alyssa graduated from Moorpark College and California Lutheran University majoring in Education. Alyssa has continued to be a guest choreographer for Thousand Oaks High School. Alyssa brings a lot of joy to her students and to her classroom. She inspires them to keep dancing and reach for the stars.
