Moorpark Civic Ballet started in 1993 as excerpts from the Nutcracker Ballet. Pam Rossi is the director and producer for this ballet which each year has developed into a more traditional version.

Pam began the Moorpark Civic Ballet with a vision to be able to introduce dance students and families to one of the oldest ballets in history. The Nutcracker takes its audience back in time to 1892 with the beautiful music of Tchaikowsky. The Moorpark Civic Ballet features 125 dancers and performers from the ages of 4 to adult. Guest performers have included dancers from Pat Jackson's American Dance Studio, the Performing Arts Center in Van Nuys, and the Simi Valley Dance Creations Studio as well as soloists from Canada and Russia. Choreographers have included Julia Felker, Louise Mandell, Joanna Santor, Val Halon, Apphia Laune, Kerrie Burg, Shocka and Pam Rossi.
